Dr. Naziri is a well known figure in the field of surgery, known for his impressive educational background and extensive experience. His education began with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Catholic University of America, followed by a Medical Degree from the University of Virginia. His pursuit of surgical training led him to complete his General Surgery residency at Tulane University School of Medicine, where he not only honed his surgical skills but also gained invaluable experience. Driven by a commitment to excellence, Dr. Naziri then completed Fellowship training in Laparoscopic Surgery at the University of Dundee School of Medicine in Scotland, under the guidance of Professor Alfred Cushieri, a leading expert in the field. This fellowship training incorporated advanced minimally invasive surgical skills that he now applies in his practice.
Dr. Naziri’s passion for research and surgical innovation took him to the University of Louisville, where he spent three years as the Price Fellow in General Surgical Research with Dr. Hiram C. Polk Jr. During this period, he conducted extensive research. His expertise in Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery, particularly in areas such as Bariatric Surgery (Gastric Bypass, Sleeve Gastrectomy, and Conversions), gallbladder surgery, anti-reflux surgery, hernia repair, and colon surgery, underscores his commitment to providing the highest level of surgical care.
